CONFIGURE TEMPORARY VOICE CHANNELSChannel Defaults
Channel Defaults
Name, user limit, bitrate and position of new temporary channels.
These settings decide what a temporary channel looks like the moment it is created. Owners can change most of it afterwards, as long as the matching feature is enabled in the Feature Tab.
Where to find this?
Open the Dashboard, select your server, pick the correct Creator Channel and navigate to the Basics Tab.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name Template | The name new channels get, up to 100 characters. You can use placeholders like {OWNER_NICK}. |
| Custom Name Fallback | Used instead of {CUSTOM} while the owner hasn't picked a name yet. See {CUSTOM}. |
| Word List | The pool for {RANDOM_WORD}, up to 50 words. See {RANDOM_WORD}. |
| Default User Limit | How many members fit into a new channel, 0 to 99. 0 means unlimited. |
| Allowed Limit Range | The smallest and largest limit owners may set with /limit. Outside that range Horizon refuses the change. |
| Default Bitrate | Audio quality of new channels, 8 to 384 kbps. "Highest possible" always uses the best your server boost level allows. |
| Bitrate Cap | The highest bitrate owners may set with /bitrate. |
| Channel Position | Where the channel appears: top of the category, bottom of the category, or right below the Creator Channel. |
Note
A saved profile can bring back a user limit from an earlier channel. If that limit is outside the allowed range, the channel gets the default user limit instead.
