Who Can Join

Limit temporary channels to certain roles, and let your staff into every channel.

Where to find this?

Open the Dashboard, pick your server, open Generators and choose the generator. This is the Who can join section of its page.

Access Roles

With access roles you decide which roles may see and join the temporary channels of a generator. Leave the list empty and every member can use them.

Every role in the list gets view and connect on each new channel. As soon as you add at least one role, you can also pick what happens to everyone else:

Visibility for non-role membersResult
Hidden from othersMembers without one of the roles can't see the channel.
Visible to everyoneEveryone sees the channel, and Default Visibility decides whether they can join.

Note

Owners still control their own channel. /lock and /hide then apply to the access roles, and /trust or /inviteuser let single members in even without the role.

A common use is a verification role. See Using a verification system? for the full setup, including the permissions Horizon needs on the category.

Immune Roles

Members with an immune role are exempt from what channel owners do. They can't be kicked or blocked, and locks and hides don't keep them out.

SettingDescription
Immune RolesThe roles that are exempt.
Allow immune roles to claimLets them use /claim even while the owner is still in the channel. Off by default.
Apply permission override to immune rolesOn by default: the roles get view and connect on every temporary channel. Turn it off to let them keep exactly the permissions they inherit from the category or generator, for example a team role that may rename channels.

Note

Immunity is meant for moderators. Everyone with the role can enter every channel, including private ones.

A role that was deleted on Discord stays in the list as "Deleted role" with its ID, so you can remove it.
